Announcing Our New Partnership with Sparta Science

The Pro Sport Lab is excited to announce a brand-new partnership agreement with Sparta Science; the industry’s gold standard for Force Plate Machine Learning.

This technology embodies our philosophy of Data Driven Performance and provides athletes with vital information that can not only prolong their careers but enable them to achieve new levels of high performance.

It is our belief that your current training programme may well be setting you up for injury. Lifting for the sake of lifting may in fact be providing no performance benefits. It isn’t unusual for a Sparta scan to suggest that athletes avoid certain lifts because they provide no benefit to an athlete’s force profile and may cause significant harm.

Whilst every performance coach will assess their athletes, far too many of these tests are simply subjective assessments that provides unreliable data at best. We also find that many assessments remain consistent across any number of sports despite the vastly different requirements of the athletes within these sports.

At The Pro Sport Lab we are always looking for ways to improve our service and with our new partnership with Sparta, we believe we have struck upon something truly unique that will set us apart from the competition.

We believe that this is a game-changer and that is why we’re proud to be one of the first performance facilities in Europe to embrace this technology and believe it will take The Pro Sport Lab to a whole new level with human performance.

At the time of writing, we are seeing a huge increase in injuries in the premier league, which is being put down to the condensed season due to COVID-19, but for many reasons, (including longer seasons and heavier training programmes) this increase isn’t fully understood.

Sparta note that a single common injury like the rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament, costs NFL teams an estimated $63 million annually and typical recovery time exceeds the length of a football season.

With numbers like this it is no surprise that we believe the Sparta system will become an essential part of every professional team’s assessment tool kit in years to come.
