By purchasing an IQAir HealthPro Plus air purifier, we are able to ensure that the Pro Sport Lab has the cleanest and freshest air possible indoors. The filer features HyperHEPA filtration technology, which means it can remove any airborne particles that are 10 times smaller than a virus.
HEPA removes small particles from their air, allergens, smells, and anything else that might interfere with your workout. The HEPA filtration system can remove almost everything in the air and can change the total volume of air in the studio approximately once every 5-10 minutes.
Here’s the science bit…
A COVID-19 particle is estimated to be between 0.12-0.16 microns in size.
A regular HEPA filter has an MPPS (most penetrating particle size) ranging from 0.12 to 0.25 microns which means this is how small a particle will have to be to not be caught by the HEPA filter.
However, there are two key factors at play here…
• Viruses do not move autonomously and generally need to attach themselves to other particles to transmit, making them much larger.
• The ‘HyperHEPA’ filter, which we have in the Pro Sport Lab, will trap particles 100 times smaller than that of a regular HEPA filter, down to 0.003 microns.
Therefore, you can feel assured that the Pro Sport Lab is as hygienic and clean as it can possibly be.
